Terms of Use

Welcome to Printing TLDR. These terms of use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of printingtldr.com and newsletter.printingtldr.com, along with all related services, articles, newsletters, tools, guides, digital products, templates, downloads, and content (collectively, the “Services”). By accessing or using our Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use our Services.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By subscribing to the newsletter, purchasing digital products, downloading resources, using tools, or accessing Printing TLDR content, you agree to:

• Comply with these Terms of Use.
• Comply with our Privacy Policy.
• Comply with our Cookie Policy.
• Comply with all applicable laws and regulations.
• Be at least 18 years of age.

2. Description of Services

Printing TLDR provides content, tools, and resources for large format and DTF printing professionals, including:

• Newsletter: The monthly Printing TLDR Monthly newsletter, delivered through Beehiiv at newsletter.printingtldr.com. See the Subscriber Terms.
• Articles: Printing industry commentary, workflow analysis, and production-focused editorial content on printingtldr.com.
• Digital products: Paid guides, ebooks, templates, and downloads, including products such as The DTF Printing Profit Blueprint.
• Equipment reviews: Fixed-price written reviews of DTF printer quotes or machines you already own, including a three-year cost model, a cost-per-transfer calculation, a list of what a quote leaves out, and questions to put to the vendor.
• Advisory calls: Optional paid calls for customers who have received a written review.
• Expert guides: Educational content covering DTF, large format printing, AI workflows, print production, and business operations.
• Free tools: Calculators, workflow templates, and planning tools on printingtldr.com.
• Free resources: Downloadable guides, checklists, references, and educational materials.

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of our Services at any time without prior notice.

Printing TLDR pages may link to separate software services operated by Kjell Karlsson, such as DTF Gang Sheet Builder and DTF Toolbox. Those services are not part of the Services under these Terms and are governed by their own terms and privacy policies.

3. Accounts and Access

Accounts

The free content and tools on printingtldr.com do not require an account. Where an account or login is needed, for example at a checkout, you agree to provide accurate information, keep your credentials secure, and accept responsibility for all activity under your account.

Suspension of Access

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access or account for violation of these Terms, fraudulent activity, abuse of Services, unauthorised sharing, misuse of content, or non-payment for purchased access.

4. Purchases and Payment Terms

Digital Products and Paid Access

Digital products and paid services are sold on printingtldr.com, where checkout runs on WooCommerce and payments are processed by Stripe. Digital products such as the DTF Printing Profit Blueprint may also be sold through Gumroad, whose own terms apply to purchases made through its checkout. Unless otherwise stated, prices are shown in USD and payment is processed at the time of purchase. VAT is added at checkout where applicable, based on your country and business status.

Delivery and Access

Digital products are typically delivered immediately after successful payment through download links, email delivery, or customer account pages.

Equipment Reviews

An equipment review is a fixed-price written analysis. A Quote Review covers one vendor quote or one machine you already own, and each additional quote can be added for the fee stated on the service page. A Vendor Comparison covers up to three quotes or machines. A request for more than three needs a custom scope agreed in writing before work starts. Payment in full is due at checkout, before work starts.

Delivery times run from the day we have received your complete quote pack, not from the day you pay. The standard time is 3 business days for a Quote Review and 5 business days for a Vendor Comparison. If documents are incomplete, we will tell you what is missing, and the delivery time starts when the missing items arrive. Business days are Monday to Friday, excluding Swedish public holidays.

Customer Materials

You keep ownership of the documents and information you send us. You confirm that you are entitled to send them to us and that sending them does not breach any confidentiality obligation you owe to a vendor or anyone else. We use them only as described in our Privacy Policy: to prepare your review and any call about it. A review depends on the accuracy and completeness of what you send and on the specifications and prices that vendors state. We do not audit vendor claims, and we do not inspect or test equipment.

What a Review Is, and Is Not

A review is independent analysis based on the information available to us. Its figures are estimates built from your inputs and from vendor-stated specifications, and they are not a guarantee of cost, performance, or profit. A review is not legal, tax, accounting, or financing advice. We do not negotiate with vendors for you, install equipment, or guarantee how a machine will perform. The decision to buy, and any negotiation with a vendor, remain yours. Printing TLDR takes no commission, referral fee, or sponsorship from any manufacturer or dealer.

Use of the Review

The written review is licensed to you for your own business decisions. You may share it with your own staff and advisers, and you may use the questions and findings in it when talking to vendors. You may not publish it, resell it, or offer it to others as your own work.

Advisory Calls

A Walkthrough Call (30 minutes, recorded) and a Decision Session (60 minutes) are optional paid add-ons for customers who have received a written review. Calls are open to review customers for 30 days after delivery of the review, and a call must be booked within that period. You need to be logged in with the account you used for the review order. Book using the link in your order confirmation, and reschedule using the link in your booking confirmation email. A call covers the review we delivered. New analysis of additional quotes is a new order. The recording of a Walkthrough Call is sent to you after the call.

Refund Policy for Digital Products

Due to the nature of digital products with immediate access, all sales are generally final. Refunds may be issued at our sole discretion for technical issues preventing access, duplicate purchases made in error, billing errors, or other cases we determine appropriate. Refund requests must be submitted within 30 days of purchase to hello@printingtldr.com.

Refund Policy for Reviews and Calls

Each review is prepared for you individually, so refunds work as follows. If you cancel before we have received your complete quote pack, we refund the full amount. Once we have received your complete quote pack and work has started, we do not refund the fee, except where we fail to deliver the review as described on the service page or where mandatory consumer law gives you a right to a refund. If we cannot deliver a review, we refund the full amount. A call fee is refunded if we cancel the call and cannot reschedule it. It is not refunded once the call has taken place. Our reviews are intended for businesses. If you buy as a consumer in the EU or EEA, you may have a statutory right to withdraw from a service contract within 14 days. If you ask us to start work within that period, you accept that you owe a proportionate amount for work already done, and that the right ends once the service has been fully performed. Checkout asks you to confirm this. Nothing in these Terms limits any consumer right that cannot be excluded by law.

5. Intellectual Property Rights

Our Content

All content, tools, guides, templates, code, designs, text, graphics, logos, product names, page layouts, calculators, formulas, digital downloads, and other materials on Printing TLDR are owned by or licensed to Printing TLDR and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

License to Use

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access and use our Services for personal or internal business purposes, download and use purchased materials for your own reference, and use our tools in your own printing operations.

Restrictions

You may not:

• Reproduce, distribute, resell, or publicly share our content without written permission.
• Modify, reverse engineer, copy, or create derivative works from our tools, templates, calculators, or paid resources.
• Remove copyright, trademark, or proprietary notices.
• Share purchased downloads, access links, templates, or paid content with others, except as permitted for written reviews in section 4.
• Use our content in commercial training programmes, client deliverables, or resale products without authorisation.
• Scrape, crawl, harvest, or extract data from our websites using automated means.
• Claim Printing TLDR content, tools, guides, templates, or analysis as your own.

6. Newsletter Terms

By subscribing to the Printing TLDR newsletter, you agree to receive email communications from Printing TLDR through Beehiiv. You can unsubscribe at any time using the unsubscribe link in any newsletter email. We do not send unsolicited commercial email. Subscriber data is managed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

7. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree not to use our Services for any illegal, harmful, or unauthorised purpose. This includes but is not limited to:

• Transmitting viruses, malware, spam, or harmful code.
• Attempting to gain unauthorised access to our systems, accounts, or tools.
• Interfering with the normal operation, security, or availability of our Services.
• Harassing, impersonating, or harming other users or Printing TLDR.
• Circumventing paywalls, access controls, download limits, or account restrictions.
• Using automated scraping, bots, crawlers, or extraction tools without permission.

8. Disclaimers and Warranties

Professional Advice Disclaimer

Printing TLDR content, tools, calculators, templates, guides, and newsletters are provided for informational and educational purposes only. They do not constitute professional legal, financial, tax, accounting, engineering, technical certification, or business advice. Always consult appropriate professionals before making major business, legal, financial, tax, or safety decisions, and verify equipment specifications and terms with the vendor before you buy. Paid equipment reviews are described in section 4, which sets out what a review is and is not.

Production and Business Results

Printing, DTF production, pricing, profitability, workflow outcomes, and equipment performance depend on many variables including operator skill, environment, substrate, consumables, machinery, maintenance, customer mix, and local market conditions. We do not guarantee specific production results, savings, revenue, margin, or profitability.

AI-Assisted Content

Some Printing TLDR content may be created or assisted by AI tools. While content is reviewed before publication, we do not guarantee that AI-assisted materials are complete, error-free, or suitable for your specific production environment. Always test and verify outputs in your own workflow.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Printing TLDR and its affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of our Services, including loss of profits, business interruption, production failure, data loss, equipment damage, customer disputes, or reliance on content, tools, templates, or guides.

Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or €100, whichever is greater.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Printing TLDR from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses arising from your use or misuse of our Services, violation of these Terms, violation of any third-party rights, or use of Printing TLDR materials in your own business operations.

11. Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Material changes may be communicated through the Printing TLDR website, newsletter, or account notifications. Your continued use of our Services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

12. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access immediately, without prior notice, for breach of these Terms. Provisions that should survive termination, including intellectual property rights, disclaimers, limitations of liability, indemnification, and governing law, remain in effect. Purchased guides or digital products with lifetime access may remain available after account termination unless termination was due to fraud, abuse, unauthorised sharing, or Terms violations.

13. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Sweden, without regard to conflict of law provisions.

Dispute Resolution

Disputes arising from these Terms should first be addressed by contacting us at hello@printingtldr.com. We will attempt to resolve disputes informally and in good faith. Any legal proceedings shall be brought in the courts located in Sweden unless applicable consumer protection law requires otherwise.

14. Miscellaneous

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, and any applicable product or subscriber terms, constitute the entire agreement between you and Printing TLDR regarding the Services. If any provision is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force. These Terms are written in English; in case of conflict, the English version prevails.
