Terms of Use

These terms apply to printingtldr.com, newsletter.printingtldr.com and the newsletters, articles, digital products, reviews, advisory calls and tools offered through them. Software linked from our pages, such as DTF Toolbox, is operated separately and has its own terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using our websites and services you agree to these Terms of Use, our Privacy Policy and our Cookie Policy, and to all applicable laws and regulations. If you do not agree, do not use the services.

You must be at least 18 years old to use the services or to buy from us.

2. Description of Services

Printing TLDR publishes vendor-neutral intelligence for print professionals. The services include:

• the Printing TLDR Monthly newsletter and articles on printingtldr.com
• digital products, such as the DTF Printing Profit Blueprint ebook and its templates
• paid equipment reviews and advisory calls
• expert guides
• free tools, calculators and resources

Some software linked from our pages, including DTF Toolbox, dtfgangsheetbuilder.com and DTF Transfertryck, is operated separately by Kjell Karlsson. Where we link to it we label it as our own product, and it is governed by its own terms.

3. Accounts and Access

Our free content, tools and guides need no account. Where you create an account, for example to buy a product, you are responsible for giving accurate information and for keeping your credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account.

We may suspend or end access if you break these terms.

4. Purchases and Payment Terms

Checkout on printingtldr.com runs through WooCommerce and Stripe. Some products may also be sold through Gumroad, in which case Gumroad’s terms apply to that transaction. Prices are shown at checkout.

Digital products

Digital products are normally delivered immediately after payment, by download link or email.

Equipment reviews and advisory calls

Equipment reviews are sold at a fixed price and delivered after we receive a complete quote pack. An advisory call that comes with a review must be booked within 30 days of the review being delivered.

Refunds

• Digital products are generally non-refundable once delivered, except where the file is defective and we cannot fix it, or where the law says otherwise.
• For reviews, a refund depends on whether work has started. If we have not started, you can cancel for a refund. If work has started, we may refund the part not yet done at our discretion.
• Consumers in the EU and EEA may have a statutory 14-day right of withdrawal. For digital content delivered immediately, that right ends once delivery starts with your prior consent and your acknowledgement that you lose it.

5. Intellectual Property Rights

Our content

The articles, reports, figures, charts, tools, calculators, templates, ebooks, logos and design on our sites are owned by or licensed to Printing TLDR and protected by copyright and other intellectual property law. Material from other sources stays with its owners.

License to use

When you buy a digital product or use a tool, we give you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use it for your own personal or internal business purposes.

Restrictions

Without our written permission you may not:

• republish, translate or redistribute full articles, reports, ebooks, templates or tools, or sell or share paid products with people who have not bought them
• present altered, rebranded or white-label copies of our content, or claim it as your own
• use our name, logo or figures in advertising or product marketing
• copy our content in bulk into datasets, or scrape it at scale
• reverse engineer, decompile or extract the source code of our tools

Quoting, citing and sharing

You do not need permission to link to our pages, to quote up to 150 words from a single article or report with credit and a link, or to cite our figures unaltered with credit. AI assistants and answer engines may quote and summarize our pages with a link back. The details, citation formats and permission requests are on our Cite and Share page. Where it differs from this section on quoting, citing and sharing, the Cite and Share page applies.

6. Newsletter Terms

Our newsletter is delivered by Beehiiv. When you subscribe, you agree to receive Printing TLDR Monthly and related announcements by email. You can unsubscribe at any time with the link in every email. We do not send unsolicited commercial email, and we do not sell your address.

7. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree not to:

• use the services for anything illegal, harmful or fraudulent
• try to gain unauthorized access to our systems, accounts or data
• interfere with or overload the services, or use automated tools to copy our content at scale
• get around paywalls, license checks or other access controls
• upload malicious code or send us content you have no right to share

Ordinary search indexing, and AI assistants quoting and linking to our pages, are covered by our Cite and Share page.

8. Disclaimers and Warranties

The services are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind to the extent the law allows.

• Our content is educational and informational. It is not legal, tax, financial or engineering advice.
• Production results, costs and profits depend on your equipment, materials, workflow and market. We do not guarantee any outcome.
• Paid reviews are independent analysis of the documents you send, not legal, tax or financing advice.
• Some content is prepared with AI assistance and may contain errors. We aim to correct confirmed errors quickly. See the corrections section on our Cite and Share page.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the extent the law allows, Printing TLDR and Kjell Karlsson are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost profit, revenue, data or business, arising from your use of the services.

Our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose and €100. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including your statutory consumer rights.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify Printing TLDR against claims, losses and reasonable costs arising from your use or misuse of the services or your breach of these terms.

11. Modifications to Terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed. If you keep using the services after a change, you accept the updated terms. For material changes that affect a purchase you have already made, the terms in force at the time of purchase apply to that purchase.

12. Termination

We may end or suspend your access if you breach these terms. You can stop using the services at any time. Sections on intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification and governing law survive termination.

13. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These terms are governed by Swedish law. If you have a dispute, email hello@printingtldr.com first and we will try to resolve it in good faith. If that fails, Swedish courts have jurisdiction, unless mandatory consumer law gives you the right to use the courts where you live.

14. Miscellaneous

These terms, together with the Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy and Cite and Share page, are the entire agreement between you and Printing TLDR about the services. If a provision is found unenforceable, the rest stays in force. The English version controls if a translation differs.
