Subscriber Terms of Service

These Subscriber Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your subscription to the Wide Format Brief, a weekly newsletter published by Printing TLDR (“we,” “us,” or “our”) and delivered through the Beehiiv email platform. By subscribing, you agree to these Terms.

The Wide Format Brief is a free newsletter. No payment is required to subscribe or receive content.

1. Overview

The Wide Format Brief is a weekly newsletter delivering focused intelligence on large format and DTF (Direct-to-Film) printing. Each edition covers the previous week's industry news, product launches, market moves, and operational insights relevant to print shop owners, production managers, and industry professionals. It is published by Printing TLDR, operated by Kjell Karlsson from Köping, Sweden.

The Wide Format Brief is published on Beehiiv at newsletter.printingtldr.com. It is separate from any membership account or paid tools on printingtldr.tools. Subscribing to this newsletter does not create a membership account and does not provide access to paid tools or guides.

2. Subscription & Double Opt-In

How Subscription Works

To subscribe to the Wide Format Brief, you must:

• Provide a valid email address through a signup form on printingtldr.com or the Beehiiv-hosted newsletter page
• Click the confirmation link in the email sent to you by Beehiiv (double opt-in)

Your subscription is not active until you complete the confirmation step. If you do not click the confirmation link, you will not receive the newsletter.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to subscribe. The Wide Format Brief is intended for printing industry professionals and is not directed at consumers or minors.

One Email Per Subscription

Each email address corresponds to one subscription. The Wide Format Brief does not create accounts, profiles, or membership tiers. Your email address is the sole identifier for your subscription.

3. Newsletter Content

Each weekly edition of the Wide Format Brief typically includes:

• Top 5 headlines from the previous week in large format and DTF printing
• Summaries, industry takeaways, and “Why It Matters” analysis for each story
• A strategic takeaway synthesising the week's pattern
• A “This Week's Noise” section calling out hype or low-signal content
• Upcoming trade events and industry dates
• One actionable production tip (“Smarter Every Week”)

Editorial Standards

The Wide Format Brief maintains a vendor-neutral, production-first editorial standard. Content is selected based on operational significance to print professionals. Announcements without verifiable data or operational relevance are excluded. Printing TLDR does not accept payment from vendors in exchange for editorial coverage.

Frequency

The Wide Format Brief is published weekly, every Monday. We reserve the right to adjust publishing frequency, skip editions, or pause publication without prior notice, including during holiday periods or due to circumstances beyond our control.

No Guarantees

While we aim to provide accurate, timely, and operationally relevant content, we do not guarantee specific outcomes from decisions made based on newsletter content. All editorial content reflects our professional judgement and opinions at the time of publication.

4. Data Collection & Use

What We Collect

When you subscribe, we collect:

• Email address — required for newsletter delivery

We do not collect your name, phone number, physical address, payment information, or any other personal data through the newsletter signup form unless you voluntarily provide it.

How We Use Your Email

Your email address is used exclusively to:

• Deliver the Wide Format Brief newsletter
• Send occasional service-related communications about the newsletter itself (e.g., schedule changes, platform migrations, or critical updates)

Email Engagement Tracking

Beehiiv, our delivery platform, tracks standard email engagement metrics including opens and link clicks. This data helps us understand which content is useful and improve future editions. You can limit tracking by disabling image loading in your email client, which prevents open tracking pixels from firing.

5. Third-Party Platform (Beehiiv)

The Wide Format Brief is delivered through Beehiiv, a third-party email newsletter platform. By subscribing, you acknowledge that:

• Your email address is stored on Beehiiv's servers
• Beehiiv processes your data in accordance with their own terms and privacy policies
• Email delivery, confirmation, and unsubscribe functionality are managed by Beehiiv's infrastructure
• The newsletter is accessible online at newsletter.printingtldr.com, hosted on Beehiiv's platform

We have selected Beehiiv as our delivery platform, but we are not responsible for Beehiiv's data handling practices, security incidents, or service availability beyond our reasonable control.

6. Intellectual Property

All editorial content in the Wide Format Brief — including headlines, summaries, analysis, strategic takeaways, and the “Smarter Every Week” tips — is owned by Printing TLDR unless explicitly stated otherwise.

What You May Do

• Read, save, and reference newsletter content for your own professional use
• Share individual story links or the newsletter URL with colleagues
• Quote brief excerpts (one to two sentences) with attribution to Printing TLDR and a link to the source edition

What You May Not Do

• Republish, redistribute, or resell newsletter content in whole or substantial part
• Forward entire editions to non-subscribers as a regular practice
• Scrape, aggregate, or use newsletter content to build competing publications or products
• Remove or obscure Printing TLDR attribution

7. Unsubscribing

You can unsubscribe from the Wide Format Brief at any time by:

• Clicking the Unsubscribe link at the bottom of any edition
• Visiting newsletter.printingtldr.com and managing your subscription preferences
• Contacting us at hello@printingtldr.com

Unsubscribe requests are processed by Beehiiv. After unsubscribing, you will no longer receive the Wide Format Brief. Unsubscribing does not affect any separate membership account on printingtldr.tools.

Data Retention After Unsubscribing

When you unsubscribe, Beehiiv retains your email address in a suppression list to prevent re-sending. If you want your email address fully removed from our records, contact us at hello@printingtldr.com and we will request deletion from Beehiiv within 30 days.

Content Disclaimer

The Wide Format Brief provides professional editorial analysis based on publicly available information and real industry experience. All content is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any information in the newsletter, and content should not be treated as legal, financial, or professional advice.

Printing TLDR is not responsible for the accuracy, availability, or performance of third-party content. Inclusion in the newsletter does not constitute endorsement unless explicitly stated. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Printing TLDR shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or reliance on newsletter content. Our total liability for any claim related to the Wide Format Brief is limited to the amount you paid for the newsletter — which is zero, as it is free.

Delivery

We make reasonable efforts to deliver the newsletter every Monday, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free delivery. Email delivery depends on Beehiiv's infrastructure and your email provider's handling of incoming messages. Check your spam folder if an edition does not arrive.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will:

• Post the updated terms on this page
• Update the “Last Updated” date in the header
• Notify subscribers of material changes via the newsletter or a dedicated email

Continued subscription after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. If you disagree with updated Terms, your remedy is to unsubscribe.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Sweden. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your subscription to the Wide Format Brief shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Sweden.

For subscribers located in the European Economic Area (EEA), nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights under EU consumer protection or data protection regulations, including the GDPR.
